Here in the Georgia piedmont, we'll go for YEARS without even one sprinkling of snow.
This winter we've had THREE! And not
The first snow was early in December and it was about 4"...the next was a huge (for our area) blizzard that left 8" of snow, melted to 6" of snow and 2" of solid ICE. No one could navigate the roads for four days as the snow kept melting and freezing solid. The highs were in the 30's and the lows around 15.
We're so helpless when it snows here--I think our entire area has about two snowplows between five counties, or so it seems.

Anyway, we woke up again this morning to another 3" of snow! If only we were eight years old again, this would be the most fantastic winter ever! Now, all I think about is how muddy the roads and pastures are going to be when this all melts...
Even so, I was excited enough to go take pictures of the little birds who have finally discovered our feeders:
